I've remade my elf albums, they were made from paper bags but were way to thick and bulky. I redid them using envelopes and they're brilliant, much prettier and easier to handle. I enjoyed doing them but after making 6, I was glad to see the end of the project.

These first 4 were the years Paige and her pals were doing fun things around town and posting them on our town FB page.

This one is Paige's modelling portfolio, she's quite the super model in the elf world.

The last one is her life story, all about her family, friends and what she enjoys doing.

This little journal has a paper bag cover, I removed the handles, but put one back on to serve as the closure. The cover is a window front envelope.

This teeny book uses the pull out piece of a tissue box. I covered it with a rea dyed paper doily and sewed in some pages. It's about 2 1/2" square.

A pyramid mini using a thick cardboard box, the type that's corrugated inside. Each layer opens to reveal the page, and the embellishment is an old earring. This one is 3" square, down to 1" on the top layer.

Finally, this is my journal house. I bought the doll house to do a reno on it for my elf on the shelf, but didn't get around to it. I needed to get it out of the lounge room, so it went into my craft room to house the growing collection of junk journals. There's still room for a couple more books before I need to get another house lol.

On this JJ I used the pocket from and old shirt on the cover.

Something different for this cover. I used a hard cover book to make this pocket journal. The pages have been turned into all sorts of pockets and it's a lot different to anything else I've done.

The cover has a layer of black cardstock, then the small panels were done separately and stuck on. I used stickers and outlined each panel in white. Really pleased with it.

Another quite unusual idea - pages made from tags.

Here are some more journals I've been making, I'm so addicted to this.

My first tunnel journal, I had this adorable paper collection, fussy cut the elements to attached and it's so cute.

This one is made from a paper bag, the cover is tucked under the bag base, which forms the closure.

the journal inside.

This one is made using heavy cardboard circles, something a bit different.

More junk journals. This one is a deconstructed journal, there are no attached pages, everything is removable. I'm thrilled with the result.
Element 1: This little booklet is made using index cards, with an old bracelet as the decor.

Element 2: a notebook using torn circles and a paper doily.

Element 3: This pack has tags, pockets and a small booklet.

Element 4: envelope stack.

Element 5: pocket book

Element 6: Layered sticker tag.

Element 7: Tuck note envelope.

Element 8: envelope on the back cover.

I loved creating this journal even though I'll never use it. To me it's about the creative process, not whether it gets used. It's enough for some things to just be beautiful.
