I recently attended a shoe box card swap. I've never heard of it before, but it was a fun day. We had to design a card, and do the basic work such as die cutting, embossing etc. All components of the cards went into the shoe box, as well as anything else needed such as ink pad, stamp etc.

We made a sample, and there had to be enough in the box for everyone to make a card - there were 11 of us. We passed our own shoe box to the person next to us, and make a card using what was in the box. We got 15 minutes to complete the card, then the box was passed to the next person.

It was a fun day, the hostess put on a beautiful lunch, and we each ended up with 11 cards, including our own sample. It's a good way to try different techniques, and build up our stash of cards.

Forty boxes as thank you's, and 50 lolly pop flower party favours for my granddaughter's 18th birthday. The boxes were inked and embossed before being die cut, and held a hand poured tealight candle made by my DIL. She loved them, so did her guests.

A few things today. Firstly, another box I made for my sister. This one was to house all those long cylinders from the previous pic. The bow was on the lid. Love how this one looks.

Next is the card I made for my DIL birthday. I first saw this style of card on Samantha Clayton's YouTube channel, and I love it.

Finally, these little cats, another idea I got from YouTube years ago - can't remember who's channel. I have two cat obsessed friends, and although Halloween isn't a big thing here, as it is in the U.S, I couldn't resist making these. I adjusted the measurements to suit, and made them black for Halloween. I'm not a cat person, but they're pretty cute.

Some more little projects I made recently, for my sister's birthday in October. There's all sorts of goodies in those boxes, I love making them.

Another TTD has come and gone, and more great products added to the Kaszazz range. I love the new paper collection - Classique, and the projects were lovely. Here's what I made, and as usual, put my own spin on them.

I made this one for my Aunty this morning. Sunflowers were my cousins favourite flower, and I didn't want a traditional, somber sympathy card. I'm pleased with it.

This years Easter boxes. First up are the ones for my kids and their spouses.

Grandkids treats. So as not to overload them with chocolate, but still keep the "Nana tradition" of a choc rabbit, I bought some mini size bunnies, popped 1 in each little box and added some cash. These little cuties are only 2 1/2' high.

Next are boxes for a couple of friends. It's called Bag in a Box - a very cute idea.

Last are my giveaways, everyone in town loves my annual treats, and I get such a lick out of making them.

I saw the cutest little mini album on YouTube, and had a go at it myself. It's designed to hold ATC cards, but the end flaps could be left off the pages for a regular mini. It took a bit over an hour, but now that I know what I'm doing, I can cut that time down. And a great way to use up some scrap paper and cardstock.

The title page for Mum's album - a remake of a previous page that I wasn't happy with. I much prefer the simplicity of this one.

We just had our Kaszazz new release for January, this is the double layout we made with the new products. I simplified the design a bit as I only use photo safe products, and the chipboard isn't. But I like the way it turned out, and even this is more elaborate than my usual style. It's good to get out of the comfort zone sometimes.

This is the sample page - feathers and birds are chipboard.

My version without it. I'm not really a fan of a heap of stamped sayings either, so left them off too. I might add a stamped bird though, just to fit the theme.

At our training day, we have a competition with company vouchers for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. I came 3rd with this mini canvas.

Goodness, I have been a bit neglectful here lately haven't I? With family visiting, the Christmas season, and trying to get a community craft co-op up and running, I've been pretty busy.

Last Saturday was my first workshop for the year, I did this double page for Dad's album, it's a remake on the one I made about a dozen or so years ago - I'm much happier with this one. I don't mind the look of divided pages, but hate the sleeves with the little gap between each pocket. To fix that, I use a full sheet of 12 x 12, so I get the divided look, with a solid background. That suits me much better.
